Advanced Training System (BT-ATS)

How to train like the Pros using the BT-ATS training systems:
First take a four minute power output test and record your wattage output. After four to six weeks of training, repeat the same test and you will see an increase of 10% to 15% (or more) in sustain wattage output. This level of improvement is normal, using the trainer with the protocols provided in the users manual.

Bikes and bits at the Australian/Oceania Track Titles:

Bike Technologies – Advanced Training System (BT-ATS)
In his last two years as head coach of Cycling Australia, Charlie Walsh worked extensively with Australian firm Bike Technologies to develop the Advanced Training System (BT-ATS), achieving remarkable results.

While Australian cyclists had for many years used an ergo-meter as part of their training program, according to Walsh, the units and the use of them required modification if Australia were to realize specific improvements in their cyclists. Field and laboratory tests had also shown that cyclists participating solely in road racing had not developed the power required for track cycling compared to those who were doing specialist track training activities.

Despite Walsh's departure after the Sydney Olympic Games, many of Australia’s best track and road cyclists continue to use the BT-ATS system and Walsh's training principles with great success.

Read more of what makes this training system so unique and suitable for all athletes.
